The CHO Airport: E-Ville 5k Turkey Trot & FREE 1/2 Mile Kids Run takes place at The Earlysville Market at 600 Earlysville Forest Dr., Earlysville, Virginia 22936 (15 Minutes Northwest of Charlottesville, Virginia) This event benefits the area Boys & Girls Club. The course is slightly downhill and fast the first half. It then becomes more challenging with rolling hills through the scenic and friendly neighborhood of Earlysville Forest.
The FREE 1/2 Mile Kids run will start on Earlysville Forest Dr. at the Finish line of the 5k race. The Kids will run 1/4 mile out and 1/4 mile back. There are no race numbers for the kids. Please have them at the starting line by 7:50AM.

RACE DAY INFO
WALKERS WELCOME
The CHO Airport: E-Ville 5k Turkey Trot welcomes and encourages walkers. Enjoy a beautiful scenic walk through the small town of Earlysville and one of it's runner friendly neighborhoods on Thanksgiving morning. However you must be able to complete the 3.1 miles by 9:45 AM. Please refrain from bringing any skateboards, inline or roller skates, or bicycles on the race course. Baby strollers, baby joggers and dogs ON a leash will be allowed to race from the back of the pack. If wearing headphones, please keep the volume low enough so that you can hear anyone approaching from behind.
WATER STOP & POST RACE SNACKS
A water stop will be available at approximately mile 2. Post race refreshments will be available at The Earlysville Market parking lot.
RACE TIMING & RESULTS
The race will be hand timed with the Chronomix timing clock system used in many local running races.
PARKING
Plenty of parking is available in select areas around the backside of The Earlysville Market parking lot and along the East side of Earlysville Forest Dr. Please park as directed by the parking volunteers. Please do not park on the WEST side of Earlysville Forest Dr., directly in front of any area businesses that may be open at this time, or blocking any driveways.

All pre-registrants before Tuesday, November 10th will be guaranteed a cool race t-shirt in their specified size. If there are not enough t-shirts for those registered after November 10th another order will be placed and participants will be able to pick these up in 2-3 weeks at a designated location. An e-mail notice will be sent to these participants.
* The top Male & Female winners will win a FREE pair of the Newton Running Isaac shoes!!! Please go to www.newtonrunning.com to learn more about this light weight, more efficient, natural running stride based shoe. The Newton Running shoes are NOW carried at the Charlottesville Running Company located on the downtown mall.
All top three male and females will receive various prizes or gift certificates donated from local businesses.
The top three male and female Masters (40yrs or older) will each receive gift certificates towards some FREE organic compost complimentary of Timbercreek Organics !
*The BEST Thanksgiving themed costume worn during the race will receive a special and appropriate prize! Think BIG, BIG gift certificate to the Earlysville Market.
*Random awards including a $250 Gift Certificate towards any flight from CHO Airport and a $150 Gift Certificate from Black Baer Seal for work on any existing asphalt driveway will be randomly drawn from all race numbers to be given away. Must be present at the Awards ceremony to win.
Ribbons and other various prizes will also be awarded for the top 3 in each 5 five-year age group. If you are not available for the ribbon presentation, it will not be mailed to you. Arrangements can be made to pick it up by e-mailing Kate Lucas here.
PACKET PICKUP
Race packets may be picked up on Tuesday, November 24th from 4:00-8:00 PM or Thursday, November 26 from 7:00-8:00 AM at The Earlysville Market, 600 Earlysville Forest Dr., Earlysville, VA 22936. Ph. (434) 973-5570.
You may pick up a race packet for another runner provided you have these 2 pieces of information from the registered participant. You will not be able to pick up your friends packet with out this information.
1. The participants e-mail race confirmation printed out.
2. A printed copy of the participants photo identification (if over 16 yrs. old)
ENTRY RULES and INFORMATION
Entry fees are non-refundable and entries are non-transferable, no exceptions. All online registrants who provide a valid e-mail address will receive a confirmation e-mail. Online registration will close on Tuesday, November 24th at 11:59 PM. Walk-Up registration will be allowed on Tuesday, November 24th from 4:00-8:00 PM (see SCHEDULE above). There will be NO race day registration.
PARTICIPANT INFORMATION
The E-Ville 5k Turkey Trot is limited to 400 participants. Sign up early to guarantee your entry! All children must be registered to participate.
